FRIDA KAHLO The Frame (Self-Portrait) Recycled Bag
EDITOR’S NOTE
The frame is a 1938 self-portrait of Frida Kahlo. It is the first work by a 20th-century Mexican artist acquired in 1939 by a major international museum, the Louvre. It is currently exhibited at the National Museum of Modern Art at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Frida Kahlo bought this inverted glass picture at a market in Oaxaca (Mexico). After that, he placed a self-portrait on aluminum foil on the glass frame and painted it in reverse. Take a look at one of Frida Kahlo's many faces through her life, art, and heritage in the LOQI FRIDA KAHLO The Frame (Self-Portrait) Recycled Bag.
